1. Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 280 characters?

Alien Visitors, Scientists from a Distant World, have come to Earth only to observe the imminent self-destruction of Humanity. Alien Anthropologists is a Sci-Fi Romantic Comedy for our times. Think SNL does Mr. Smith Goes to Washington … with space aliens!

2. What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

Though the title may sound dry or scientific, Alien Anthropologists is a Romantic Comedy dealing with visitors from another world who are most perplexed about the dysfunction of our government and society.

3. What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

I graduated from UCLA in 1981 (Magna Cum Laude) with a Fine Arts Degree in Motion Pictures/Television. Following graduation, after a few years in the film making school of hard knocks, I obtained my law degree from Loyola Law School after which I worked a full career in government service from which I am honorably retired. Fed up with the corruption in the seminal institutions of our Federal Government, but a believer in the power of positive thinking, I turned my frustration to humor and love by writing a Romantic Comedy. In an era of increasing frustration over government corruption, Alien Anthropologists is a cathartic release for the beleaguered masses as alien visitor Zeno turns the tables on our Washington Establishment Elites on issues that ring with the common sense and truth too long suppressed by our Elite Overseers. The short film screened at this year’s festival is an Episode from my feature length story.

4. What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

To not take oneself or others too seriously.

5. What does the future hold for your film and you?

Our short film to be screened at this year’s BSFF is an Episode from my full length screenplay. Alien Anthropologists – Episode III has won top awards at the 51st Annual WorldFest Houston International Film Festival (“Special Jury Award – Original Comedy”); The Jerome Arizona Indie Film Festival (“Best Comedy”) and at the Near Nazareth Film Festival in Israel (“Best Sci-Fi Film”) and is currently pending in a number of festivals throughout Planet Earth. My goal is to generate enough interest to produce the feature length version of my film. I have a few irons in the fire and will know a lot more early this coming year. In you have an interest in participation or learning more about Alien Anthropologists please do contact me.
