“Gone Before Your Eyes‚” follows Angela, an artist with Alzheimer’s disease, as she attempts to paint. Trapped in a surreal loop, Angela struggles to do what was once natural for her.
"Gone Before Your Eyes" premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival last fall; highlights from its festival run include screening at the Mill Valley Film Festival, the Sedona International Film Festival, winning Best Narrative Short Film (Buffalo International Film Festival), Best Director of Narrative Short (Queens World Film Festival) and the Audience Choice Award (Bowery Film Festival.)
Director Biography - Cara Yeates
Cara Yeates is a Canadian-American filmmaker living in New York. She won “Best Director of a Narrative Short for her short film “Gone Before Your Eyes.” It premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival last fall; highlights of its festival tour include the Mill Valley Film Festival, the Sedona International Film Festival, winning Best Short Narrative Film (Buffalo International Film Festival) and the Audience Choice Award at the Bowery Film Festival.
Yeates has directed videos with Alexander Wang, Ford, Karlie Kloss, Bloomingdales, Uber, and Morgan Stanley. Her first short documentary was “Taking New Steps” for the blockchain studio Breaker.
