5Q's w/: Pat Battistini "Ms. Rossi Meets The Mob" and "The Allergy Table" Director, Writer, Producer

QUESTION#1: What excited you the most when making this film?: Any time I can make a movie is exciting to me. Taking words and seeing the actors bring them to life is an amazing reward to all the hard work.

QUESTION#2: What was the most significant film you've seen AT THE THEATER in 2024, and how did it influence your filmmaking?: "The Crime is Mine" is a wonderful French film with fun characters and excellent dialogue. The comedy was quite cleaver and the twisting plot was so wonderfully written that it challenged me to be a better writer.

QUESTION#3: What's an obvious and not-so-obvious question someone might ask about your film?: For Ms. Rossi, many people ask where I shot the film and why I shot it in Italian. A not so obvious question is why did I cast an American in the film in one of the roles. As for "The Allergy Table", the obvious question is what was it like working with kids. The not so obvious question would be how many hours a day can the kids work.

QUESTION#4: A magic movie genie is giving you an unlimited budget for your next production! However, you're only allowed to use it on either "above line" or "below line" resouces. Which do you choose and why?: I'd have to go below the line. Even though the chances would be better to sell the film with "name" talent, nothing beats a well produced, great story shot the right way.

QUESTION#5: What is it about your current movie that will influence your next film?: A starting to gather financing for a feature romantic-comedy I've written called, "Only in Venice". It's going to be shot in - guess where - Italy. I'm happy to share my Venmo account name. ;o)
