5Q's w/: Marvin Glover "Parking Spot" Producer

QUESTION#1: How do your top 3 favorite films influence your filmmaking?:

The art of filmmaking is about choices. I personally have themes that speak to me. I work to provide an original voice to my work. My favorite films that influenced my work are Goodfellas, Blade Runner and The Shawshank Redemption. Crime Thrillers/dramas are about pacing and character building. When a writer comes up with the foundation, you can build a solid house. Dystopian pieces revolve around building a world and bring an audience in.

QUESTION#2: What do you wish someone would ask you about your film and why?:

How can I help support your effort? The craft of filmmaking is not for the faint of heart, it requires enormous resources. Therefore if someone other than those directly affiliated with the film can make a huge impact in a very simple way.

QUESTION#3: What scared you the most about making this film?:

Nothing. Taking on action expanded our filmmaking palette. Everything you desire is on the other side of fear.

QUESTION#4: You have to choose one to make your next movie: 1) unlimited budget but only a single take of every shot 2) Academy award winning composer, but they're not allowed to watch the film 3) A-list cast, but they're directed using only charades. Which one do you pick and why?:

I would choose to work with an award winning composer. As a music composer and film producer I can say that a film is more than just dialogue, stunts and explosions. Music can be a great way to connect t with audiences and touch their inner emotions. You make a film because you want your audience to feel something.

QUESTION#5: What's does the future hold for this film and you?:

A short film is a calling card, and a way to show the industry and public that you know how to make and complete a film. For me this allows me to take what I've learned and apply that to the next project.
