QUESTION#1: How do your top 3 favorite films influence your filmmaking?:

Sound of Music, Bawarchi (Hindi), Children of Heaven (Iranian). These films have music, family drama, beautiful cinematography, inspiring, feel good, and have a positive ending. I like to add these elements in my films.

QUESTION#2: What do you wish someone would ask you about your film and why?:

Does Madre possess special powers? She could if you wanted her to. She seems to know a lot about Rosabella. She calls her BellaRosa without knowing her name. She knew that she is an accomplished singer. She knows which location people will have the most needs. If you believe in magic then yes, she has supernatural powers. But if you don't believe in magic, then Madre is just a very wise woman who gives practical advice. She can be whomever you want her to be.

QUESTION#3: What scared you the most about making this film?:

We were just getting out of the COVID situation and had to audition my cast via Zoom. None of the cast and I met until one day before the shoot. However, we all practiced a lot before the shoot and everyone's chemistry with one another was great.

QUESTION#4: If you can only pick one of these options to make your next movie: 1) unlimited budget but only a single take of every shot 2) Academy award winning composer, but they're not allowed to watch the film 3) A-list cast, but they're directed using only charades - then why would you make that particular choice?:

3) A list cast but they are directed by charades. One of my strengths is that I am good at charades. So I would be able to direct using this method easily and I think thats how I will direct some of my scenes in the next film!

QUESTION#5: What's does the future hold for this film and you?:

I hope that this film will be healing for others. Almost everyone I know has been through an emotional rough patch in their lives. I hope that this film will inspire them to recognize their gifts and use them for personal healing. I also hope to be able to shoot this film as a feature in the near future.
