5Q's w/Carlos Gómez-Trigo "Survivers" Director

#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 140 characters?

If you want a dark comedy with low sci-fi concepts, about how stupids are human beings, this is your movie!

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

That the movie was filmed few months before COVID comes to your life's, so any similarity is just coincidence.

#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

I studied a one year of Filmmaking, quite general and basic, but enough to start by learn myself to do other things. After that, I started to work in commercials and developing my own projects

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

If you believe in one idea, go for it. It is better to try to do something and learn in the process, even if it is not finally filmed, than to park a script in a drawer and regret long after not having tried to film that idea

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

Survivers was premiered in October 2020, so I guess 2022 will be the last year in its festival circuit. It works quite well, so two years is more than enough. In the meantime, I´m working in a script of a feature film and also in the preproduction of a short I want to film in 2022.
