5Q's w/Keaton Morris-Stan "Fractal" Writer, Producer

QUESTION#1: Can you describe your film in one sentence?: Fractal follows the story of Grace's miscarriage across three different realities; memory, present-day, and a dream of what could have been.

QUESTION#2: What would you like the BSFF audience to know about your film that they wouldn't consider from it's title?: Written, Produced, Directed, shot, and composed all by outstanding women! Another fun fact is that my father hand-built a rain machine for the film with PVC pipes and fittings.

QUESTION#3: Can you tell us about yourself and your filmmaking career?: As an actor, writer and producer my work has focused on telling divergent stories through an existential human lens. Founder of Greater Than the Sum, a Producing company that is dedicated to creation through collaboration, my passion for storytelling stems from learning new ways to perceive the world. Fractal is my debut film, and has been accepted into 18 festivals, won 4 awards, and has received 12 additional nominations to date. Suffice it to say, I'm hungry for whatever's next!

QUESTION#4: What have you learned in the process of making your film?: The biggest thing I learned through the process of creating Fractal, is the difference between compromise, and collaboration. When you're collaborating, like I managed to do with my team on Fractal, it doesn't ever feel like you're giving something up, only like you're growing and expanding your vision.

QUESTION#5: What's does the future hold for this film and you?: I think we're a little over halfway through our Film Festival tour, so feel free to follow along our journey to new audiences across the country! Next up is shooting another short film and on the horizon, I'm also in pre-pro with a feature film centered on a female friendship that becomes dark and twisted up in the male gaze.
