Can you describe your film in one sentence?
A short film about the importance of belonging; to oneself and to community.
QUESTION#2:
What would you like the BSFF audience to know about your film that they wouldn't consider from it's title?
You will laugh and cry (I hope!).
QUESTION#3: Can you tell us about yourself and your filmmaking career?
I am an award winning writer, director, producer who has worked on a variety of projects: YouTube shorts, commercials, industrials, hundreds of videos for non-profits, short films, and feature films. I have a genuine love of people and stories about the messiness and beauty of being human. An actor's director, I have a BA in theatre, studied at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Sundance Co//ab. I have worked in almost every aspect of production from a Burbank studio to multi hat wearing on independent film sets, and thrives on taking a project from creative idea, into production, through final edit - all the while relishing the crewmunity built along the way.
QUESTION#4: What have you learned in the process of making your film?
To slow down! I tend to charge ahead and want to get things done. I learned with this film a lesson for the next film... to be more patient and slow down.
QUESTION#5: What's does the future hold for this film and you?
I have 3 feature films in development that I am super excited about and would love to do another short very soon. For Potluck, I plan to release it on YouTube in the spring.
