5Q's w/Adam Tiller "Swimmers" Director, Writer, Producer

QUESTION#1: Can you describe your film in one sentence?

Two pool cleaners deal with the repercussions of a one night stand.

QUESTION#2: What would you like the BSFF audience to know about your film that they wouldn't consider from it's title?

It’s a romantic comedy where there’s more drowning than actual swimming. The title also has a double meaning… can you figure out what it is?

QUESTION#3: Can you tell us about yourself and your filmmaking career?

I started making movies on my dad’s VHS camcorder when I was a kid. After studying film in college in North Carolina, I moved to LA and became an Editor in TV. This is my first official short film!

QUESTION#4: What have you learned in the process of making your film?

That filming actors in a pool is incredibly difficult and adds a lot of time to a day. Hair continuity in a pool can be really problematic. Insurance also costs more if equipment and actors are going to be in and around a pool. Working with talented actors is rewarding, and I loved collaborating with them on set.

QUESTION#5: What's does the future hold for this film and you?

Swimmers got me my first directing job in television, so in that sense (and the fact it has screened at 3 festivals), I feel it has already been a huge success.
