#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it?

A young boy builds a time machine in his parent's basement with the hope of rescuing his sister.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

Imagination, perseverance and hope can make the impossible, possible.

#3: What is your movie making background?  Tell us about yourself.

MARK ROUSH: Writer/Director/Producer

A 2001 graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication, Mark Roush has spent the past twenty years building his commercial production company, New Adjustment Productions. Mark is also an active screenwriter, producer and director of multiple independent projects including numerous shorts such as I am Lloyd Hamlin (official selection at ComicCon two years running), Storage (official selection VisionFest and official selection Terror Film Festival), and the web series Lady Wasteland (second largest web-series in the nation in 2008). His two new short films, Tonight and Excursion are currently playing the festival circuit across the county. He has also optioned numerous screenplays including Night of Maelstrom (optioned by Wood Entertainment) and The Vastness (optioned by Industry Works LLC).

Over the course of 2019, Mark has worked on a variety of projects for companies such as Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, Amazon, Erickson Inc., and Intel. In the past he has either produced, edited or directed videos for Autodesk, Laika, Brammo, NET10, Regence, Black & Decker, Sierra Club, Char-Broil and many others.

Currently, Mark is completing post production on his 4th short film this year, “The Halo.”

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

Don’t forget to eat dinner before shooting.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

It’s a personal joy of mine to share the work that my colleagues and I have created. It’s my intention to run Tonight in the festival circuit for a year. Afterwards, I will use it to help promote my skillset as a storyteller when is comes to raising money for future projects.
