#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 280 characters?

At the end of our lives it is only love that matters and this movie hopes to inspire people to choose greater love in their lives. The plot follows two couples one struggling against infidelity and the other fighting mental illness.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

One of the common themes people have noted is how deeply human the characters and story are. The film also has great original salsa music and dancing!

#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

I started in Colombia as a teenager, producing and writing short films for Oscar nominated director Ciro Guerra. I took a break from film to serve as a missionary, a step that helped me grow immensely as an artist. After returning I produced a variety of programming for Spanish networks in USA and co-founded Storrs Productions with my husband we are now touring the festival circuit with our short film “Our Rose Garden”.

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

I learned that a great story is not based on the exterior actions but in what is going on underneath the skin of the actors, that the real story happens in the subtext.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

We plan on touring with the film through the fall and we’ve had interest expressed from distributors. Currently, we are working on the best strategy for releasing the film. For myself, I am now developing a feature I have co-written with my husband called “All things are possible”, which tells two intertwined stories featuring characters that are called to heroic love. One plot focuses on two refugee sisters from El Salvador who became victims of human trafficking and the other is about an expecting couple whose baby has Down syndrome.
