#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 280 characters?

It's a ME TOO moment in a young girls life. I wanted to create a film where the audience could not put any blame of the female involved, and yet show how the female could feel somehow responsible.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

ME 3.769 is named such because there are 3.769 Billion Woman in the world and so I wanted to be sure that it represented all women.

#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

I began my career as an actress. I studied acting at Carnegie Hall and felt frustrated at the types of roles available to Latinas at large, and so I began writing and ended up with what became a multiple award-winning autobiographical one-woman play. It changed my life and empowered me with the knowledge that I could create what I felt was missing in our entertainment. I have produced over 50 films/webseries/shorts etc, winning a Telly Award for best production of 2016, and becoming the first person to ever license an interstitial series to the HBO network. In these last few years I have wanted to realize my full vision on screen--the best way for that to happen was to direct. I LOVE directing and I want to continue to grow as a director and tell stories whose protagonists are diverse women.

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

I enjoyed filming the two shoot days months apart. I shot the beach scenes in March on 2018 and the interiors in June of 2018. It gave me time to see where I was and really study camera. Day one helped me to know that I likely would not have time to accomplish every shot I wanted and so I really had to make day 2 move faster.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

I am so thrilled to report that I will be entering a license deal with the HBO network for this film. The film will premiere in August of 2019. I hope to use this film as a stepping stone to what I hope will be a full length feature film based on my award winning stage play.
