#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 280 characters?

It’s the story of a former rodeo clown who due to an injury must “find his smile” again in life and in work. People should see the film to remind them that we all have our struggles in life. But after watching the film, people may realize that their struggles aren’t that bad compared to how hard other people have it.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

The story is about compassion and tolerance.

#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

After working for years in front of the camera, I felt compelled to start telling stories and giving actors opportunities to play rich characters. I’ve been making short films for the past fifteen years. I want to be known as a cleaver writer, creative filmmaker, and an actor’s director.

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

I’ve learned there are no real surprises anymore. Just obstacles that can pop up, big and small. In this particular film, working with kids on set wasn’t the problem, it was the union and state regulations getting the kids cleared to work.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

I just hope as many people as possible can see my film. I hope I can touch people in a positive way so when the film finishes, they can say that they really enjoyed it. As for me, I hope I can continue making films whether they are short or feature films and hope people want to watch them.
