5Q's w/Cameron Mitchell "Risk Is The Price For Progress" Director

#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 140 characters?

The NASA Lunar Land Rover Vehicle ("LLRV") test pilot's historic adventure that helped man explore the moon during the Apollo 11 mission.

#2: What do you want the Borrego FilmFestival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

“Risk Is The Price Of Progress” brings attention to the bygone "race to space" era.  The movement was inspired by John F. Kennedy and his dream to put a man on the moon.  The film also honors the many men and women who contributed their skills, and sometimes their life, in order to work as the world’s most elite test pilots and astronauts.

#3: What is your movie making background?  Tell us about yourself.

I have been a working DP/cameraman in TV and documentaries for over 25 years. My passion is using profound imagery and a solid story line to tell narratives that bring light to many subjects lost, forgotten, or unknown.

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

Hard work and persistence and following your vision will always bring your ideas and your film to fruition. Stay focused and surround yourself with good people.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

I intend on moving forward with the film.  I want to produce it into a full length documentary; to tell the complete life story of a test pilot, the man, and his dreams to fly.
