Revered raptors, citizen scientists, and a fragile desert environment, HAWKWATCH brings them all together.  Watch as a passionate group works tirelessly to perpetuate their legacy: support of the Swainson’s Hawk migration.  

This local team strives to inspire a new generation of “Hawksters” to continue the vital task of monitoring and protecting the migration through California. But, aging, climate change, business development, and even Mother Nature create obstacles that threaten their goals.

Director Biography - Alicia Wszelaki

Alicia is a visual creative who has been working in the media industry for over two decades. As a director, producer and editor, her passion is telling other people’s stories. Alicia lives in San Diego, California with her husband, and amazing rescue dog Teddy. She is part-owner of Path 88 Productions, which produces travel films and inspirational documentaries. She enjoys being outside and has walked both the Camino de Santiago, and Japan’s 88 Temples pilgrimages twice.
