Director Biography - Rebecca Doherty
Rebecca is an award-winning Irish composer and filmmaker based in London. She runs the production company Cantilena Pictures. Her debut short film ‘Resonance’ (2021), premiered at a BIFA-qualifying festival and received several awards and nominations, including two nominations at The British Short Film Awards 2021. The script for her second short film, ‘Music to Die For’, was an official selection in the 2022 Louth, Kerry and Waterford International Film Festivals’ script competitions. Her films’ stories are inspired by the role music plays in society and people’s lives. She is also developing scripts about the struggles of female trauma and neurodivergence.
