Director Biography - Anne-Sophie Bine
Anne-Sophie is a Franco-Polish writer/director based in Los Angeles. Originally from Paris, she spent her life abroad. She is a directing fellow at the American Film Institute (class of 2022). She holds a BA from Stanford University (studying Comparative Literature, Art History, and Creative Writing) and an MA in Philosophy from Paris-I Sorbonne.
She got her start in the film industry by working with Academy Award winning Production Designer Rick Heinrichs on Disney’s Pinocchio in London, and Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings TV show in New Zealand.
Anne-Sophie's work focuses on complex female protagonists faced with morally fraught choices. She loves to explore the discomfort of grey areas.
