A Ukrainian woman (Valentina) comes to the States to care for her sister after she and her fiancée are victims of a hit and run. Her fiancée's father (Joe) pushes the authorities to find those responsible but faces a dead-end. With nowhere left to turn he decides to take matters into his own hands, enlisting the help of Valentina to bring justice.

Director Biography - MJ Alhabeeb Jr

MJ hails from a long line of Iraqi artists. His parents, who escaped Saddam Hussein’s totalitarian regime, are painters, sculptors and calligraphers. MJ began developing his craft early on, directing and producing segments for ACTV in Amherst, MA. Through his work there, he was recruited to cover concerts and produce events and shows in the music industry for a number of artists including Lil Jon, Pitbull, and The Game.

Currently, he is the VP of Production at the Quixotic Road Production Company, which most recently produced the 2017 release, Growing Up Smith with Jason Lee, 2019’s Bayou Caviar with Richard Dreyfuss and Famke Janssen and 2019’s Crown Vic, with Thomas Jane and Bridget Moynahan. In 2018, MJ co-founded Impavid Entertainment, a production company committed to producing thought provoking and visually striking films.

Their first feature, Infrared Dreams (Ava) was released earlier this year. The upcoming series Broke Boys debuts this fall and MJ’s directorial debut, Plight has just been completed.
