Los Angeles, 1996. The Suras are a financially struggling immigrant household of four - Jay, the workaholic, never-at-home dad; Rekha, the mom and the heart of the family; 11-year-old introvert Vicky, and 8-year-old peppy little Isha. 

For her 9th birthday, Isha has only one wish – to get $12 dollars to play video games. Unable to convince her parents, she devises an ingenious plan with Vicky to raise money but when her plan fails, her reserved brother commits a well-intentioned mistake to fulfill her wish. The innocent act of love will change their lives forever.

Director Biography - Jyothi Kalyan Sura

Kalyan Sura is a virtuoso storyteller from South India who built his reputation making key creative and technical contributions to independent productions and multi-million-dollar Hollywood blockbusters. 
A recipient of numerous accolades throughout his school years, Kalyan pursued Computer Science Engineering in India’s premier engineering college where, ironically, he discovered his love for visual storytelling. Having taught himself animation, Kalyan achieved the rare distinction of being the first and only student-instructor in his university by teaching a course on ‘Fundamentals of 3D Animation.’ 
Kalyan joined DreamWorks Animation India as a Technical Director (TD) where he contributed to critically and commercially acclaimed films like How To Train Your Dragon 2. Kalyan spent his spare time developing video games and writing fiction stories. 
In May 2015, Kalyan enrolled in USC's School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) to pursue a Master’s in Film Production with a focus on Writing, Directing, and Visual Effects. Over three years, Kalyan wrote 15 short films, and 2 feature screenplays, directed five films and supervised Visual Effects for over a dozen productions. He also served as the President of SCA’s Visual Effects Society. 
Kalyan is a member of the prestigious Visual Effects Society and the Screen Writer’s Association of India. His films have screened across the globe, receiving widespread praise from critics and audiences alike. Currently, Kalyan is focused on writing and directing live-action and animation content that combines cutting-edge techniques with personal stories, to entertain and inspire audiences around the globe.
