Inspired by such an important story in American history - we utilised the inspiration of his learning process through movement - a must see

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

We took his writings and made our own film from his inspirational journey.

#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.

After decades in theatre I started my own production company - LDR Creative and have been producing all things creative for the last 4 years. Mainly film - and all have had an element of dance due to my history. I am currently developing more narrative features to broaden my portfolio. I love collaborating and love filmmaking. It’s my new chapter after theatre and performing!

#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

For a short film, try and make sure the budget is manageable. Due to being on location our budget grew. It was worth it but it also had lessons!

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

We are still in Free’s first year of film festivals - more festivals - more filmmakers to meet- and more collaborations with Ben!
