#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see?

Suspense. Romance. Puppets! Fairy Tail is a film that recently won the FUN IS GOOD BILL MURRAY COMEDIC SHORTS AWARD, picked by Bill Murray.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

"Fairy Tail" is a tall tale contained within a super short film. It's great for all audiences, as it has minimal dialogue and plays like a classic silent film.

#3: What is your movie making background?  Tell us about yourself.

Justin & Kristin Schaack are a comedy directing duo that have been making films together for almost 20 years. They’re a married team that started their creative partnership in the theater...waaaaaay off-broadway. Since their illustrious career on the middle school stage, they've found success directing commercials, online content, and independent films that have screened at 200+ international film festivals, receiving over 20 audience choice awards and over 60 jury awards. #4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

This was our first film with puppets, so we learned that puppeteers' arms don't always bend the way we want them to for the action. We had to learn how to adjust blocking and camera movements in order to capture the puppet without breaking any limbs.

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

We intend to release the film online and continue to work on our next film.
