The Peculiar Abilities of Mr. Mahler (29 MIN) DIR: PAUL PHILIPP
#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 280 characters?
The film is basically a historic family drama. If you like dark, hopeless, moody and cryptic thrillers, this film will be perfect for you.
#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?
The film has absolutely nothing to do with the music of the composer Gustav Mahler.
#3: What is your movie making background? Tell us about yourself.
I studied media science at the university and film directing at a film school in Germany. Then i worked many years in the advertising film industry.
#4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?
Always be patient and keep going, no matter how long it takes. Independent feature film is not a sprint, but a Marathon. You Need to be persistent. In the end it took us 5 years from the first draft until the film was finished.
#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?
Unfortunately, I can not see into the future! ;-)
