#1: Can you describe your movie and why somebody should see it in less than 140 characters?

Vinyl record production from Gotta Groove Records. A film for lovers of music, audiophiles, vinyl nerds, and people who love verite' docs.

#2: What do you want the Borrego Springs Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title?

I'd love them to know that Besides vinyl, the manufacturing and craft maker element of the film is super important. Gotta Groove is part of a larger vinyl movement, but they are the only ones making records to the quality and beauty that is seen in this film. It's also a hero story. An american dream story. People taking a gamble, risking it all and having it pay off.

#3: What is your movie making background?  Tell us about yourself.

I am an award winning director of music videos, commercials and documentary content. I've been doing this for 10 years now and I feel documentary is a strength of mine. I consider myself a visual and character-focused director, with a gritty guerilla filmmaking style and poetic hero centered themes. I have been honored with awards and selections at festivals such as SXSW, Beverly Hills, Cleveland International and many more, as well as work featured in multiple national publications including New York Times, Devour, HYPEBEAST, Alternative Press, G4, Fast Company, Juxtapoz Magazine and many more. #4: What was the biggest lesson learned in getting your film made?

Measure twice cut once. This film was made on a tight budget but we were able to create a very high production value because we planned everything. The sprawling 1:30 second one take shot at the end of the film is s shining example of this. 

#5: What does the future hold for your film and you?

We plan on screening at a few more film festivals but this film in particular has already had some fantastic success. We are really happy with it. I personally will continue to make high end documentary content and pushing the craft forward as I go. I have mostly been focusing on commissions and short docu films as of late, but plan on pursuing another feature film in 2017. :)
