Filmmaker, actor, and Borrego Springs Film Festival Award Winner Jesus Lloveras has traveled across the globe, from Barcelona Spain, to meet up with members of the BSFF and buy some tacos from Jilbertos!

Well, maybe he was more interested in the "world's best tacos" than talking to film committee members, but Jesus was certainly extremely gracious to chat with us, and excited to be in Borrego Springs.

And who can blame him?  It was a beautiful day to meet and greet at the Farmer's Market!

To sweeten the deal, we let him hold onto the BSFF award, which he won in January during the BSFF award ceremony.  It was well deserved.  "Day Release" was easily one of the best films we've ever screened at the festival and we couldn't be more proud of our new BSFF alumnus.

Jesus is in Southern California pursuing a film development deal in Hollywood.  During his time off from that ambitious endeavor, he's also scouting future locations to film, and we were more than happy to recommend various sites/sights in and around Borrego Springs.  

It's great to meet a bona fide star and acting talent of not only the BSFF, but other numerous and prestigious film festivals where "Day Release" has screened around the world.
