Potluck

Loneliness sucks. But a lifetime of not quite fitting in won’t get good natured Carolyn down. Armed with positive affirmations she desperately seeks connection. As her attempts backfire, she puts it all on the line, again, to host a potluck party. Will this be the moment she’s waited for all her life?

Director - LaLa Halsema

LaLa wrote, directed, and produced award winning short film, POTLUCK, as well as an award-winning TV pilot. She has directed, written and produced a variety of projects: YouTube shorts, commercials, industrials, hundreds of videos for non-profits, short films, and feature films. LaLa has a genuine, some might say corny, love of people and stories about the messiness and beauty of being human. An actor's director, she has a BA in theatre, studied at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Sundance Co//ab. LaLa has worked in almost every aspect of production from a Burbank studio to multi hat wearing on independent film sets, and thrives on taking a project from creative idea, into production, through final edit - all the while relishing the crewmunity built along the way.
